I have participated twice in Nano Wrimo and in Script Frenzy. I won Nano Wrimo in both 2009 and 2010. I did Script Frenzy both this year and last year, but only won this year. I figured as I proved I can do a 50,000+ word novel and a 100-page script, why not take a shot at the epic? I don't know what I'll write about though.
Here's some background info on me. I graduated college in 2008 with a BA in English and have since then been seeking employment. Though I have had no luck with that yet, over a year ago, I was able to obtain a volunteer position at a thrift store, where I have been working ever since, with the execption of two hiatus's I had to take, one during the past summer, and the other two and a half months ago for family reasons. The particular store I work at is part of what helps fund our regional Humane Society. I was even a model for the store's last fashion show. (I'm not really the ideal model type, but that was not required to participate in the fashion show, just a willingness to model a couple of outfits for the show. My mom, who is a graphic artist, also participated in the show.)
Anyway, I look forward to doing this, even if I don't make it to the full 5,000 lines this time around.

Hello, Samantha here. Just signed up as I decided to check my NaNo account- not having been on a lot the past two months or so. Somebody was asking about who was doing this and now here I am a few hours later! Its three days (?) before this starts and I'm still 90% sure I'm going to attempt- and fail- at it. Doing NaNo this past November was my first time and it was awesome- I absolutely loved it and have been eagerly awaiting this November for more rushed-noveling to come. Funny I found this because even more lately I've been wishing it was November already! Anywho. I'm not that great at poetry in the first place so I have no idea why i'm trying this- but its similar enough to novel writing that I should be able to write SOMETHING. I decided not to do Script Frenzy as that style of writing is just not my thing. I have been trying to form some sort of plot in my head and sadly am not really getting anything- other than I know who my main character is and a weird sort of idea of what the plot will be but not what it is. I know, that doesn't make sense. Usually plots come so easily to me! This is a first. I came up with one- I shouldn't say nothing at all, I just don't think it fits enough. Enough babble, glad to be here.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who can't stop getting dragged into creative challenges. But it'd be nicer to have my life back :) Anyways, a bit about me. I'm a high school student, and very focused on grades. I do a lot of sports, mostly running stuff. I love to read. I've done NaNo, Screnzy and FAWM, twice each, and so far, despite little sleep, I've managed to win. I uploaded my final pdf to the Screnzy site about an hour ago, and here I am already :) This will be my first NEPMO, so I was planning on adapting a novel instead of creating my own plot etc... But I have so many plot bunnies that this might change between now and tomorrow. If I do an adaptation, it will be of Elvenbane (by Mercedes Lackey and Andre Norton). kenysmeyn - I just read your post and realized that May has 31 days when I saw I only needed to write 162 lines per day. You have no idea how exciting that was!!! Thanks. Good luck to everyone!
