Saw the site from the NaNoWriMo's "I wrote a novel, now what?" page. What can I say? I'm a sucker for awesome and obscure things! Not a clue what I'm going to write about...wait. waaaaait! Nevermind. Yes I do. I think the NaNo novel idea that I discarded for this year will do nicely... By the way, you guys should make tshirts! For...all ten of us. LOL. Nice to be here! The name's Sabra. Well, no it isn't, but you can call me that. Or you can call me Eva, which is my actual name. It doesn't really matter. I answer to both (online. No one in real life calls me Sabra. I think I'd be a little weirded out if they did. Not in a bad way, necessarily, but it would be weird). I'm fifteen, I live in the northern US and right now it is coldddd, let me tell you! So how awesome are the parties here? Off the chain? hahahahaha. Can't wait to get started! Too bad I still have to finish my novel for NaNo. NaNoFiMo is my BFF right now. And then in January there "isn't anything" which means I'll have to keep writing my novel/not writing my novel through the month. I really like to write, so I was super pumped when I first heard about NaNoWriMo, then Script Frenzy. If you don't include NaNoFiMo and NaNoEdMo, this will be my third ever awesome thing that I've joined (excluding Math Team and Cross Country, of course. ). Who else is going to write an epic poem in May? !

It may grow before May starts. It might not. I'm totally psyched though for it, since I've never wrote an epic before, so this is going to be much more difficult for me than NaNoWriMo or Script Frenzy. But challenges are fun!

I agree with you all!! I just finished my second year of Nanowrimo, and I'm planning on doing Script Frenzy again! Yay!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that's psyched to do this!! I think we're in the minority, but that makes the experience all the more interesting.

Well, I was going to do NaNo this year, but gave up due to too much school work.
So this will be the first one I do! (:
But anyways, hello

@sabra - ooh, another cross country runner? Yay! Are you doing any events in track? I'm 14, a freshman, and I live in southern California, BTW.
I'm really excited about this. I just hope epic poetry doesn't have to rhyme, otherwise I'm just screwed. Ah well. I love the vague idea I have for my heroine thus far. And I have a few months to plot. Thank goodness.

I'm doing shotput and maybe some other running events but to be honest I'm very, very bad at it, hahaha! But hey at least I'm trying, right? xD. track and cross country <3 <3 <3. How about you? Are you doing any events/which ones?
I don't think it has to rhyme. I read the Odyssey last year and it didn't rhyme. I think it rocked some iambic pentameter, but I might be making that up. And pfffft. Being different is epic enough. I say if you want to make it have some meter or such, go for it but don't stress about it if you don't.
I'm not sure how on earth I would manage to complete this challenge if I tried to put it in like, iambic pentameter or something. It'd probably take me like, four hours to get ten lines, hahahaa.
I really, really want to write my epic poem, hahaha. Why isn't it May?!
@wasampson: I hope it grows! Even if it doesn't, we should still make tshirts. I'd buy one. xD.
