So here's where I'll keep my log of how the insanity is going for me...
Day 1: met my dad's bone marrow donor, got filmed by CTV, did not write any poetry.
Day 2: went to school, got rained on, went to track practice, got poured on, biked home without any gloves, took 10 minutes in the shower to feel my hands again... have not written poetry yet

Day 2: wrote seven more pages on my Screnzy script, and did a plot overview of Elvenbane, which I'm adapting for NEPMo
Goal for Day 3: at least 100 lines.

*looks guiltily at unfinished screnzy script* Good luck with reaching a hundred! Did you choose a structured poetic form or did you decide to go with free verse?

Format? Structure? Decisions?
... Not yet.
The plan for tonight is some Screnzy pages, all my homework, and then poetry until bed.

Day 3: 5 pages more of script written, and the plot moves quickly now! Still no poetry. UPDATE: being kicked upstairs to bed, but will sneak notebook and attempt some line. On the bright side, the first draft of my Macbeth essay is done

Day 4: 16 lines. It's a start, okay?
And I've figured out my structure. Stanzas of four lines centered around a single idea, almost like an entire sentence, not rhyming.
Goal for tomorrow: 50 lines.

Day 6: 52 lines, 13 stanzas, 130 pages of script
UPDATE: 12:15 am of day 7: 82 lines, and getting sick of poetry

I have lost my will to write poetry. I'm thinking of just starting a new poem, with a new story - something to keep me interested, because I don't want to quit. I also will be pleased if I can reach 1000 lines. May is turning out to be a lot crazier than I expected, with an AP exam, track, trying to finish my script/novel and such. But I refuse to quit.

EXCITING UPDATE!!!
I have 100+ lines written of my new poem. Not much, but for a day's work when I haven't written any lines for more than a week, it's very exciting nevertheless. Hopefully I'll get some/all typed in the next couple days and post it up here!

103 lines written today!!! I'm on a roll! and very excited about it. I was going to feel an abject failure if I didn't get more than my first poem's pitiful yield of 82 lines. Now I feel like something worthwhile is coming out of this month, especially since my story is a plot bunny that has been around for years.

I typed up all of my poem so far, and made some changes and polishes as I did. the offical count is now 412 lines! Almost halfway to my new minimum goal of 1000 lines. If possible, I'd like to reach 1500 line of even 2000, but we'll see how life goes.
